Tricentis, the test automation services provider based in Vienna, has announced the 11.1 release of Tricentis Tosca, its continuous testing platform. The company, whose customers include Allianz, Deutsche Bank and UBS, said that the 11.1 release adds a number of new features, including strengthened testing coverage for various generations of SAP technologies, greater business risk coverage for business intelligence and data warehouse testing, and enhanced exploratory testing for mobile applications, Android and iOS. As DevOps become the status quo in high-performing enterprises, traditional test automation solutions are increasingly struggling to meet demands for shorter release cycles. Many enterprises go to great lengths to modernise their development and operations processes and technologies, but when legacy testing tools remain – DevOps fails to deliver its expected benefits. “Maintaining our position as the industry’s most innovative test automation platform requires supporting the most complex applications in our customer’s portfolios,” said Dr. Gerd Weishaar, Chief Product Officer for Tricentis. “Packaged applications like SAP are the core of critical business processes, yet, testing these applications has been a manual, error-prone process. Tricentis Tosca helps business users build and maintain sophisticated, end-to-end tests required for enterprises adopting DevOps.”
