SmartBear Promotes CrossBrowserTesting Platform with Outreach to Open Source Community

smartbear-2--1569404316

Software quality specialist SmartBear is reinforcing its open source commitment with a new programme that provides free access to CrossBrowserTesting for any software development team working on an open source project. Testers and developers using the service can now have access to CrossBowserTesting’s device lab, allowing them to test on all the devices their end users interact with. Access to native debugging tools also allows testers to find and fix defects more often and earlier in the Software Development Lifecycle. The company offers teams who use their opensource tool, CrossBrowserTesting, full customer support and free academy training classes. This is the latest move by SmartBear to showcase its support for development teams using open source tools and frameworks, after the company acquired CrossBrowserTesting in 2016. CrossBrowserTesting is a UI functional web testing platform that allows teams to automate running of Selenium scripts, manually debug web applications, and visually compare your site on over 1,500 real desktop and mobile browsers in the cloud.
