Infosys Partners with Singaporean Temasek to Expand in SE Asia

7 September 2018
Temasek hopes the joint venture will help it expand its presence in IT services.

Infosys has formed a joint venture with Singapore investor Temasek, in order to expand its presence in Southeast Asia. The software integrator will hold a 60% stake in the business, with Temasec owning 40%.

Infosys is looking to this deal to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, while Temasek wants to expand its IT services. The joint venture will integrate teams from Infosys and Temasek’s Singaporean unit, Trusted Source, which currently delivers IT services to Temasek and a number of other clients.

The total head will include more than 200 employees and contractors from Trusted Source, while Infosys staff will join over time. Shveta Arora, Infosys VP and regional head in South East Asia, has been named CEO of the new venture.
