Eggplant has launched a new testing automation tool, leveraging Robotic Process Automation, Eggplant: RPA. The tool leverages Eggplant’s Digital Automation Intelligence capabilities, which, according to the company, “can automate anything a person can do.” This includes recognition of screen images and text, as well as driving any application through keyboard and mouse inputs or through APIs. Eggplant cites a number of use cases for its RPA, including database migration and audit trails for federal organisations, security patches to hospital servers, and marketing automation. According to the company, Eggplant: RPA’s interface allows users to lay out an automation model without needing to use code, and making the solution business user-friendly.
