Cisco Launches Managed WAN Service in Partnership with Sify

Cisco has partnered with Chennai-based systems integrator Sify Technology to launch a Managed and Secure Software-defined Wide Area Network service, built on the Cisco SD-WAN platform. The service will is intended to drive adoption of a “hybrid WAN for Hybrid IT” by companies in the Indian market, enabling a large-scale transition to both the public and hybrid cloud. According to the companies, transitioning to a hybrid model is intended to improve agility, application centricity and predictable network performance for large organisations, while causing minimal disruption. Sify CEO Kamal Nath praised the launch as a key part of the company’s go-to-market strategy, saying: “As customers continue to move critical workloads to both the Public and Hybrid cloud, SD WAN becomes a critical part of the network strategy for them.”
