Dushyant Kumar Srivastava HSBC

Global Head of Mobile Delivery

Dushyant is the Global head of mobile delivery for HSBC. He has delivered several award-winning technical products for banks globally, and has a wide-ranging experience in resolving the challenges such deliveries. Counter-intuitively, these challenges are inversely proportional to the size of the organisation. Within the context of large banks, he believes that the key to successful 5* delivery is bridging the gap between the sponsor and end-customer. This is what he will talk about in today’s  presentation, within the context of mobile banking in UK

Marco Tedone HSBC

Global Head of API, Integration and Micro-services Practice

I lead the API, Integration and Microservices (AIM) Practice for the bank. My team is in charge of defining and maintaining standards, best practices and accelerators for AIM. We also act as an internal consultancy helping other teams with AIM adoption, architecture reviews and pair programming. I'm also a Lean Enterprise transformation specialist who helps organisations deliver business value faster by looking at software delivery as business value delivery and as a system flow, where BDD, Agile, DevOps, Testing Automation, Portfolio and Budget Manager, Regulatory and Compliance, Security and NFRs are all parts of a single journey. My favourite execution tool for Lean Enterprise transformations is the Improvement/Coaching Kata, by Mike Rother.

Sam Everington Starling Bank

Lead Engineer, Open Banking & Payment Services

Sam joined Starling Bank in 2016 to lead a group of engineers building a new core banking system which runs entirely in the cloud. After 10 years replacing legacy systems in large financial institutions, he is now the Head of Engineering for the delivery of the Starling mobile applications, public APIs, Open Banking and Banking as a Service.

Joe Shearn Sainsbury's

Principal Software Developer

As a Principal Software Developer, I provide technical leadership for the 6 development teams that make up Retail and Logistics within Sainsbury’s. As part of this role I guide technical decisions, solve problems and coach developers. If a project is experiencing technical difficulties or is going to miss a deadline then I consult with the team, assist its members and provide guidance. I also decide which technologies we will adopt or avoid as part of our Tech Radar, this helps to form our overall technical roadmap. Internally I chair the Software Engineering Community of Practice and externally I host our Crafty Coders meetup. The Community of Practice is a platform where developers can ask questions about problems that they have faced and share new ideas or approaches. When applicable I help them refine these ideas and they become part of our official patterns and practices.
