Swedbank appoints head of digital banking unit

Swedbank has put Lotta Loven in charge of digital banking. Loven previously co-headed the  unit, which was created in May, and has been now promoted to full head. The other co-head, Girts Bērziņš, who runs channel development and customer service in Baltic Banking, has now been appointed head of strategy within digital banking.

Birgitte Bonnesen, President and CEO of Swedbank said: “Lotta’s solid experience in the area of digital development is a great asset for Swedbank and I am very pleased that we found the best candidate inside the bank. Lotta and her team in Digital Banking now have an important task to continue developing our digital offering in all markets. Their foremost target is more satisfied customers through innovation and development.

Lovén has previously worked in channel development and digital innovation at Swedbank and is  a member of the bank’s group executive committee. Lovén has a degree in business administration.
