Software testing specialist QualiTest has appointed Norm Meritt as CEO, replacing the company’s departing CEO and founder, Ayal Zylberman. Zylberman, who is stepping down after 21 years in the job, will remain a board member and facilitate the transition. The announcement comes at a time of rapid change for the business, after it launched a wave of acquisitions to accelerate growth. In May, QualiTest signed an agreement to acquire the testing services division of Orasi Software, Inc., an Atlanta-based software reseller and professional services company. A week later, it penned another deal to buy out the software testing business of IT services provider NCC Group in a deal worth £3.6m. The company is one of the world’s largest independent software quality assurance specialists. With offices in Israel, UK, US and India, it counts organisations like Microsoft, the UK Ministry of Healthcare and the Met Office among its clients. Merritt commented on his appointment, saying: “Technology now disrupts every industry requiring a new standard for quality and business assurance.  QualiTest is at the forefront of this new standard with our customer- centric approach as well as our innovative and unique offering. It’s an honour to join the team at QualiTest – to lead and serve alongside talented and valued employees, who have each contributed to an amazing track record,” said Merritt. “We aim to continue exceeding our clients’ expectations with groundbreaking innovation and excellent execution.”
