Publicis Sapient, the Boston-headquartered digital transformation arm of the Paris based communications company Publicis Groupe, has announced the acquisition of Buenos Aires-based technology company Practia.

They count Banco de Chile, Western Union and Santander amongst their customers.

Details of the deal have not been disclosed, but the move is intended to position Publicis Sapient to enter the Latin American market. Commenting on the acquisition, Arthur Sadoun, Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe said “In light of the growing demand for digital business transformation, Publicis Groupe is scaling its expertise in Latin America to better serve its clients and help them win in commerce”, “The addition of Practia will enable Publicis Sapient to break into Latin America and further grow its geographic footprint, as well as expand its digital business transformation capabilities and global distributed delivery model.”
