Perforce Software acquires Perfecto for reported $200m
Perforce Software, the Minneapolis-based vendor of DevOps tools for software developers , has acquired Perfecto Mobile, the Burlington, Massachusetts-based test specialist. The deal is being backed by the Clearlake Capital Group venture capital firm, and is worth a reported $200m.
Perfecto, founded in 2006, has specialised in mobile app testing, but has more recently positioned itself as a provider of a broader range of software testing services. "The acquisition augments Perforce's software portfolio with additional capabilities for enterprise DevOps teams to achieve continuous testing at scale across web, mobile and IoT applications," said Perforce.
Perforce described Perfecto as: "The industry pioneer delivering the only true enterprise-grade mobile & web automation testing software platform through its globally accessible Continuous Quality Lab."

"Perfecto adds a critical component to our DevOps capabilities allowing Perforce to deliver more value for large enterprise customers that value scalability and security."
The acquisition of Perfecto will represent Perforce's fifth acquisition in the past two years. Perfecto has raised $91 million from a variety of venture capital investment funds since its launch.
