parasoft--1569332931

Automated testing vendor Parasoft is reaching out to the developer community with a new programme that will provide software developers working on open-source projects with free access to the Parasoft tool suite. The program will enable open source projects to leverage Parasoft’s test automation software, including code analysis, unit and functional testing as well as performance, load, and security testing. According to Parasoft, the aim is to ensure that open-source technologies adhere to the quality standard necessary for enterprise organisations, as the latter begin to adopt and participate in such projects en masse. To participate in the Parasoft Open Source Support Program and acquire free user licenses for applicable Parasoft tools, a developer must be an active contributor to an active and vital open-source project that is recognized within the global open-souce community, and email the company. Licenses will be valid for one year and will apply to all product upgrades during that period, with annual renewals required for continued use. “For over 30 years Parasoft has brought continuous quality to enterprise organisations looking to ensure the delivery of high-quality software at speed,” said Mark Lambert, VP of Products at Parasoft. “Our solutions are designed to seamlessly integrate with our clients use of open source software and, with the announcement of the Parasoft Open Source Support Program, we are excited to extend access to our tool suite to those developers contributing to the open source projects that have become business critical components of our clients’ ecosystems.”
