Honeycomb, a San Francisco-headquartered software observability specialist, has announced the addition of a query assistant to its platform. The assistant utilises the ChatGPT technology of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence research lab Open AI to enable natural language querying.

Honeycomb claims that its low-code approach will increase the accessibility of their observability platform for developers. CTO Charity Majors [pictured] said: “Observability shouldn’t require you to master complicated tools or languages that force you to constantly switch context and piece together clues to get answers to complex problems. The only thing observability tools should encourage you to focus on is your own curiosity about what’s happening in your system.”
