Gabriella Szasz, who as Global CIO of Enterprise Quality at Wells Fargo, led the bank’s transformation of its 5,000-strong QA staff to decentralised ways of working, has joined Toronto-based QA Consultants. “I’m looking forward to applying my experience at Wells Fargo to other banks in the US, Canada and Europe,” said Szasz, who has been a regular speaker at QA Media’s QA Financial Forums. “My knowledge of how to improve productivity with cultural change and with new tools is where I believe I can add value, and I am a passionate believer in the importance of diversity.”

This is an ideal time to make a move to a consulting business firmly rooted in Canada and the US, Szasz added. “Because we are seeing this rise in unemployment and because of the disruption to some off-shore services because of Covid-19, I believe we’re going to see an accelerated trend to up-skilling locally-based QA staff with new automation technologies.”

Prior to her 3-year stint at Wells Fargo, Szasz held senior positions at BNY Mellon, JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America. She will be based in New York City for QA Consultants.

“We are honored to have Gabby join our team,” said Brian Bernknopf, Managing Director of QA Consultants. She has been a leader, inspiration, and advocate for the craft of quality for many years and has served at the highest levels.”
