The board of Virginia-based DXC Technology, the end-to-end IT services company has voted Ian Read as its new chairman.

The former Pfizer executive chairman will replace interim chairman David Herzog, who has served in the role since December 2019, on March 16. Herzog will remain as a member of the board and act as chair of the board’s audit committee.

“In DXC, I see the makings of a true global leader in IT services,” Read said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to working closely with out president and CEO, Mike Salvino, and the other board members as DXC continues its transformation journey and reaches its full potential, becoming a preferred destination for customers and talent alike.”
