Capgemini Partners with Idemia on IoT Device Management and Security Platform

Capgemini has entered into a new partnership agreement with augmented identity provider Idemia in order to introduce a secure Internet of Things device management platform. The platform is intended to ensure the secure connectivity for an array of devices and data. The joint venture is intended to improve security and connectivity in the world of smart devices, while simplifying device onboarding, configuration and integration with existing back-end systems. Capgemini digital manufacturing director Jean-Pierre Petit says, “The basic foundation of product or industrial analytics and AI is connectivity coupled with security. “Capgemini’s agreement with Idemia will provide a fully agnostic, configurable and secure platform from an endpoint device to the cloud.” The platform will be based on Capgemini’s IoT device management platform X-IoT, which securely connects and manages any type of gateway and protocols to the cloud, plus Idemia’s M-TRUST solution, which secures collected data, command and configurations sent to devices.
