Canadian Securities Exchange moves to test automation

itiviti-1569422856

The Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), the Toronto exchange that lists 325 unique securities, has struck a deal with Itiviti, the Stockholm-based firm that specialises in financial messaging infrastructure, to implement Itiviti’s VeriFIX test automation solution. VeriFIX is used for automated functional testing across several protocols. The CSE will be able to carry out automated regression tests for order entries, regulatory requirements, and market data feeds. David Timpany, vice president, technology & operations at CSE, said that Itiviti’s VeriFIX tool was chosen because it could be used to: “Dramatically reduce our time to deployment while leveraging a full suite of multi-session automated regression testing across three different protocols.” Jesper Alfredsson, president of the Americas for Itiviti said that the CSE deal is an example of: “VeriFIX’s potential to achieve test automation for both FIX and proprietary protocols. We believe that firms who invest in test automation technologies will be leaders in offering high quality, reliable market access for their customers and market participants.”
