Atlassian, the Sydney headquartered software company, has collaborated with San-Francisco based artificial intelligence research lab, OpenAI, to announce the launch of its “Atlassian Intelligence” offering. The move will see the integration of OpenAI’s generative AI technology to its software management and testing platforms.

Generative AI, as popularised by Open AI’s Chat GPT platform, utilises large language models to generate new and unique content based on patterns in data they have been trained on.

Atlassian claims that this addition will enable the automated summarisation of outputs from meeting notes and allow developers to automatically define test plans for product updates based on defects highlighted by its Jira Software platform, which will enable teams to “accelerate their work”.
